WMU’s P.J. Fleck up for national coach of the year

NEW YORK, Mich. – The Football Writers Association of America have named the five finalists for college football coach of the year, and Western Michigan’s P.J. Fleck is among some top company.

Fleck, who led the Western Michigan Broncos to their first undefeated season in school history and a Cotton Bowl appearance on January 2nd against Wisconsin is one of the five nominees for the 2016 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

The other four nominees are James Franklin of Penn State, Mike MacIntyre of Colorado, Chris Petersen of Washington and Nick Saban of Alabama.

The winner will be announced on December 15.
