BOSTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she’s troubled by the record of Donald Trump’s pick for education secretary.

The Massachusetts Democrat said Betsy DeVos’ advocacy for school choice and charter schools amounts to support for policies that would drain taxpayer dollars from public schools to “unaccountable private and for-profit operators.”

In a letter to DeVos on Monday, Warren also faulted what she called DeVos’ “paper-thin record on higher education and student debt.”

Warren said the next education secretary must continue to help students struggling with student debt and protect them from for-profit colleges offering worthless degrees and mountains of debt.

Trump has called DeVos “a brilliant and passionate education advocate.”

Warren is a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which will hold a hearing on DeVos’ nomination Wednesday.

Squatting Cow ought to take a look at the graduation rates of the public schools. Without creative math, ala Obama’s unemployment rates, the public schools are a disaster.By the way, I had to laugh at the idiots who were “protesting” in Grand Rapids the other day. The idiots were demonstrating in a city where the graduation rate is less than 50%! Less than 50% get a diploma and they’re being critical of charter schools? Must be they’re in the 50%+ that couldn’t quite make it.

Democrats don’t give a damn about our children’s education – it’s all about the teacher unions. Just ask yourself, why aren’t there any student unions looking out for the students educations and getting rid of bad teachers? There’s no money in it.

Devos is worthless, all she cares about is her pocket. She can careless about any children’s education. She has a high school education only. She knows nothing about education. Remember, Federal and States monies Can Not go to private schools.
