ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Emergency crews responded to a crash along the lakeshore Saturday evening.
It happened around 6:10 p.m. along N. Cedar Drive in Ottawa County’s Robinson Township.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the 24-year-old driver of a 2005 Chevy Avalanche, was speeding when they lost control and rolled the vehicle several times. The 28-year-old passenger was reportedly not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. Police say they were taken to a Grand Rapids hospital in serious, but stable condition.
The driver reportedly sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
The crash remain under investigation. Police say they believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
