ORANGEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich — Multiple crews were called to respond to a reported explosion and fire in Barry County Monday evening.
The calls came in shortly before 8 p.m. off La Fountain Drive.
The Orangeville Township Fire Department says the owners of the home were out of the state when the fire started, and no one else was inside.
Crews reported 40 foot tall flames shooting out the back wall of the home when they arrived. The house is considered a complete loss.
The cause of the fire, and the reported explosion remain under investigation.
Crews from Praireville Township, Hastings, Delton, Wayland and Orangeville Township all responded.
