BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A body was discovered in a Byron Township swamp Friday.
The Wyoming Department of Public Safety (WDPS) says the body has been identified as 68-year-old Raymond Tarasiewicz, who went missing back in November.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office says a dog walker found the body off Ivanrest Avenue between 56th Street and M-6.
We’re told authorities are working to survey the surrounding area as investigations proceed. So far, no evidence of foul play or self-harm has been found.
The cause of Tarasiewicz's death is currently under investigation, pending an autopsy by the Kent County Medical Examiner.
WDPS extends their condolences to Tarasiewicz's family.
